Investigate establishing a Drug Rehabilitation Centre for Kingston.
Lake Ontario Park ** Reconsideration of Campground and Dog Park, to promote sustainable tourism, and community building.
Continued Maximization to capacity of sidewalk & Road reconstruction and construction as well as improved chemistry and methodolgy to increase lifespan and longterm maintenence costs. Let's turn a previously percieved liablity into our greatest asset!
Develop a Regional Sustainability Roundtable inviting our neighboring municipalities and townships in order to establish our common interests within the four pillars, and best work towards developing a regional Integrated Community Sustainabilty Plan.
KEDCO - Investment in a Community "Dragons Den" format fund to help seed local business initiatives.
Extension of funding for the Doctors Recruitment Program.
Increased marginally the funding to the KCAF fund to promote Arts & Culture.
Establish Graffitti and Mural Walls within Kingston. Develop a year round program of graffitti eradication with community partners such as those who established CAGE.
Develop a waterfront Boardwalk concept plan using land and water space, with public input.
Develop two beach areas to their full capability at Richardson Beach and Lake Ontario Park.
A 50M & 25 M Aquatic Facility to meet our current 75 M shortfall, that will meet both our current and future needs, and be
able to attract Sports Tourism.
Eliminate any further vestiges of preamalgamation differences, to ensure all Citizens throughout the City are treated equally and fairly.
Soccer field new expansion and improvements - with a focus on an indoor dome type facility.
Expand Hazardous Waste & Recycling facility so that is open year round.
I will be inviting citizens to share their input throughout the campaign on these ideas and those that you bring forward yourselves to create a sustainable Kingston. A World Class City with a world vision, and a shining light for Canada and the world to emulate.
